GONE TOO SOON. Child Star passed away today

At the age of 46, CHILD star Benji Gregory was discovered dead in his car.

Gregory played Brian Tanner on the popular sitcom Alf, which made him famous.

According to TMZ, his sister Rebecca said that he was discovered dead in his car at a Chase Bank in Peoria, Arizona.

Rebecca said to TMZ, “their family is grieving a great loss and appreciate everyone’s thoughts and kind words.”

Although the official cause of death has not been confirmed, people who knew Gregory well think that he went to deposit a check and passed out in his car, where he later died of heat stroke.

Gregory’s guide dog, Hans, died in the car with him.

Benji’s time as a child star
Gregory, Benji was born on May 26, 1978, in a suburb of Los Angeles, California.

Being a child in the 1980s, he started working in TV shows like The A-Team, T.J. Hooker, Punky Brewster, The Twilight Zone, and Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories.

From 1986 to 1990, he played the famous role of Alf.

Benji “loved dogs.”
Benji’s Instagram biography said, “Lover of dogs, traveling, late-night runs, music, podcasts, Navy, bipolar, major depression disorder, GAD, ALF, VR, Nike, Cinema 4D, Creative Cloud.”

Additionally, he wrote a lot of posts about Hans, his service dog.

For Benji’s memorial, his sister Rebecca asked people to give to The Actors Equity Foundation or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).

The ASPCA battles cruel treatment of animals.

April 10, Benji posted a picture of a sidewalk on Instagram and wrote, “Wish my dog, Hans, would grow out of this ‘tagging’ phase already.”

Several people have written condolences in the comments, with one saying, “R.I.P. Ben. R.I.P. Hans.” Sending my deepest condolences to your family and friends.

“Sending you and your family thoughts and prayers,” said someone else.

Continued Benji Gregory’s career
In addition, Benji was in movies like Fantastic Max, The A-Team, and The Twilight Zone.

His adult life didn’t include more acting. Instead, he joined the US Navy in 2003.

Later, after two years, Benji was freed with an honorable medical discharge.
