My mom has kicked me out. I’m only 14. She says she doesn’t care about me anymore. What should I do?

Go to the nearest police station and explain your situation: let the police officer who talks with you know that you are only 14 and your mother has kicked you out of your home.

The police will contact Child Protective Services, and they will get you a place to stay.

Either the police or CPS will contact your mother and let her know that basically she is legally responsible to care for you and provide for your needs until you turn 18, aka, she isn’t allowed to abandon a minor teen child.

Hopefully your mother will be willing to attend family counseling with you, so that the two of you can learn how to get along better with each other.

Both of you need to learn better ways to communicate your needs to each other, feel heard and understood, and feel respected and loved.

Best of luck to you.
