Several Residents Of A Dutch Village Reported An Unusual Thing At A Neighbor’s Home To The Authorities

After growing suspicious of a neighbor’s house, a number of people in a Dutch village called the police. It never occurred to me that this story would end up being about drugs, police, and prison!

More precisely, during a time when it snowed a lot and the snow cover grew, not a single flake “stuck” on any one spot on the house’s roof, which made some suspect foul play.

When the responding police officers discovered a flourishing business—more precisely, a cannabis culture—within, they validated the accuracy of their training. Snow melted almost immediately on the roof because the heat used to grow the plants prevented it from adhering.

When melting snow exposes the secret of cannabis growers, police in the Netherlands are arresting them in large numbers.

The lack of snow on their roofs is proving to be a surprising barrier for drug traffickers in the Netherlands.

The building’s owner could spend many years behind bars for cultivating cannabis in his own home. Despite the fact that personal marijuana use is accepted in the Netherlands, citizens are only allowed to cultivate a maximum of five plants at home.
