TikTok user Kass Theaz went viral by stating she took her parents to court for bringing her into the world without permission. She claimed to receive $5,000 monthly in “involuntary life support” payments after winning the case.

In her 2023 TikTok video, she declared: “I was not aware that I was going to have to grow up and get a job and support myself…I did not consent to that. They didn’t try to contact me before I was born to see if I actually wanted to be here. If you are pregnant right now, you need to hire a psychic medium and ask if they actually want to be here.”

She continued, “Otherwise, they will sue you because I’m making that my life mission to teach children to sue their parents, so they don’t have to work.”

‘Ethical’ Parenting Claims

The Hoboken resident, who has three children, explained she handled parenthood the “ethical way” through adoption.

“I mentioned in my last video that I went clothes shopping for my children, and many people are surprised I have children since I sued my parents for having me without my permission,” she said in a video that gained 8.3 million views in May 2023.

“It’s different when you adopt because it’s not my fault they’re here. I’m just trying to be a good person and help them out. You know what I mean?”

Many TikTok users fell for her joke, leaving comments ranging from disbelief to sarcastic praise.

Theaz responded to a follower who commented, “Hope the court rules in your favor and agrees you should never have been born and gets to work on undoing that.”

In her follow-up video, she claimed the court ruled in her favor, giving her a monthly $5,000 allowance from her parents for “basic needs” like shelter, food and clothing.

“And then whatever I decide to work for, if I ever decide to work, which I won’t, it’s just like extra spending money for me. But essentially, they’re responsible for my life for the rest of my life because they didn’t ask for my permission before they had me,” the content creator stated with a straight face.

Soon after, numerous media sources published her story without recognizing her satirical intent, despite the clear “satire” label in her TikTok profile.

“I thought it was obvious that I was joking,” she explained to the New York Post.

“I do find it amusing, though. People become upset about anything. It shows how many people react without doing any research first.”

Cat Identity Claims

In another comical video that earned 8.6 million likes, the humorist pretends to feel “ashamed” about her reaction when her son declared himself a cat.

“I feel so much mom guilt for never taking him seriously when he was trying to be vulnerable with me and come out to me as trans-species,” she quipped, detailing the struggles of teaching her son who “identifies as a cat” to use a litter box.

The video later shows her advocating for a “trans-species child tax credit.”
