A Utah Father And Daughter Are Dead After A Bulldozer Fell On Top Of Their Pickup Truck Over The Weekend

Over the weekend, a tragic accident claimed the lives of Richard David Hendrickson and his 16-year-old daughter Sally. The Utah Highway Patrol reported that the incident occurred at 12:49 p.m. on Saturday in Ogden Canyon. Hendrickson, the CEO and president of Lifetime Products, an outdoor furniture company, and his daughter were killed when a bulldozer fell off a tow truck and landed on their pickup truck.

The accident happened as the tow vehicle, towing a small bulldozer, navigated a sharp right-hand curve. The bulldozer broke loose and slid into Hendrickson’s GMC pickup. Both Hendrickson and Sally were declared deceased at the scene, while two other adult passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Lifetime Products honored Hendrickson, describing him as more than just a company leader. They highlighted his diverse talents, legendary mechanical aptitude, and exceptional ability to connect with people. Hendrickson also served as the stake president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Utah Governor Spencer Cox expressed his condolences on X, mourning the loss of his friend and leader, and offering prayers for the grieving family.This tragic event has left a profound impact on the community, with many mourning the loss of Hendrickson and his daughter.
